Location TBC

RESTORE2mini is a national tool which uses the soft signs of deterioration to help a person assess whether someone is becoming unwell. People with a learning disability may have difficulty recognising and saying when they are unwell. LeDeR still shows examples of late diagnosis and treatment of conditions which could have been caught earlier. The people expected to be using the tool (support workers working in the care sector and family carers) do not need any medical training or equipment. This webinar will cover the work Norfolk and Waveney have done in this area and present the updated training.

Speaker:

Andy O’Connell – Senior Nurse Manager for LeDeR. I am a registered paediatric nurse with experience of working across multiple areas of acute and community care. I have worked specifically with people with learning disabilities since 2018. Since 2022 I have managed the service Learning from Lives and Deaths: People with a Learning Disability and Autistic People (LeDeR) for Norfolk and Waveney.
