Registration is now open for the Virtual Wards End of Life Community of Practice (CoP) event / webinar on Wednesday 9th July from 12:00 to 13:00.

Virtual wards have a key role to play in supporting patients to receive good end of life and palliative care and to die in their preferred place. This session will raise awareness of what good end of life care looks like on virtual wards, covering topics such as advance care planning, diagnostics and interventions, managing risk and escalation, and multidisciplinary working.

The session will be chaired by Sarah Mitchell, National Clinical Director of Palliative Care, with presentations and case studies from:

  • Sharel Cole Advanced Clinical Practitioner Kent Community Health Foundation
  • Dr Hannah Yang - Research Fellow St Christopher’s
  • Dr Cathrine Vincent - Nottingham University Hospital

There will be a chance at the end to ask questions of our speakers.

If you have any questions, please contact the National Virtual Wards Programme team (england.virtualward@nhs.net). We look forward to seeing you there!
