A.A.D (Acute Aortic Dissection)

We are pleased to invite you to the Acute Aortic Dissection (AAD) Pathways Launch in-person Event, facilitated by the East of England Cardiac Network.

This event is focused on promoting the implementation of the newly agreed AAD Type A and Type B pathways for our region. It will be a valuable opportunity for all secondary care colleagues to familiarise themselves with the pathways and support the implementation, ensuring the delivery of optimal care across District General Hospitals (DGHs) and the main centres.

Agenda:

• Current challenges in ED: initial treatment and referral pathways
• Presenting signs and symptoms of aortic dissection in ED
• Imaging, interpretation, and image transfer
• Adult Critical Care Transfer / Inter-hospital Transfer
• Pre-transfer ED/ICU management in the referring centre
• Type A aortic dissection case presentation
• Introduction to the pathways & rota – Type A and Type B

Your participation in this event will be key to the success of the education and implementation of these pathways.
