Shared Learning Event HIA2 - Community T Level industry placements open up NHS career pathways
Further to publication of the 10 Year Plan, North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust recognised the importance of increasing its T Level placements within non acute and out-of-hospital care settings to directly support the shift from hospital to community.
Placements within non-acute / out-of-hospital services involved students spending time with the nursing and allied health professional (AHP) teams on a rotational basis, offering them valuable insights into the diverse roles within the NHS, how different healthcare professionals work together as a multi-disciplinary team and to showcase the varied settings in which care is delivered. In the community students work from a variety of bases and they visit patients in their own homes, care homes and other settings. They observe and help practitioners treat patients that have been referred to a service by GPs, consultants, practice nurses or physiotherapists.
During this shared learning event, hear how the Trust has increased capacity for T Level placements to provide young people with valuable insights into the diverse roles within the NHS, how different healthcare professionals work together as a multi-disciplinary team and to showcase the varied settings in which care is delivered.
Can you kindly place a hold in your diaries and we will be sending out a calendar invite with an MS link 48 hours prior to the event.
