Please join NHS England for a supplier webinar on the upcoming reprocurement of the Cyber Operations External Attack Surface Management System (previously Vulnerability Management Service and Risk Management Ratings Platform).

External Attack Surface Management (EASM) refers to the actions taken to protect  IT systems that are internet-facing against cyber threats.

The purpose of this engagement is to brief the market on NHSEs intentions to purchase an External Attack Surface Management solution that can be delivered as a national service to in-scope NHS organisations.  The Outcomes of which are to provide comprehensive visibility of the External Attack Surface of onboarded organisations, improve understanding of the exposed assets and associated security weaknesses or concerns, and drive reduction of cyber risk through severity-based prioritisation of remediation using actionable recommendations and insights.

Building on lessons learned to date, NHSE is seeking to understand options to combine the existing services into an integrated solution with associated service support, with the intention of awarding a multi-year contract to a single provider or provider consortium.

At this webinar, we will share our plans, high-level outcomes, and timescales for the procurement of this replacement service and provide an opportunity for early notification to suppliers, enabling them to consider opportunities and offerings and respond to future more detailed requirements.

From these engagement sessions we hope that the supplier community will:

• have a greater understanding of our core and new requirements
• help us shape our requirements and associated budget
• begin preparing to respond to the opportunity when it is published in 2026.
