Driving high quality care for patients with head and neck cancer

GIRFT’s head and neck cancer clinical leads are hosting this webinar to share the key findings from their national review of head and neck cancer services, which was commissioned and funded by NHS England’s Cancer Programme.

Given the complexity of head and neck cancer care, GIRFT assembled its largest multidisciplinary clinical leadership team to undertake the national review - with clinicians representing the surgical specialties involved (ENT, oral and maxillofacial and plastic surgery), as well as clinical oncology, speech and language therapy, dietetics, clinical nurse specialists, and restorative dentistry – to examine how services are organised and delivered.

In this webinar they will present their findings on:

• early and faster diagnosis;
• diagnostics, MDT culture and pre-treatment preparation;
• surgical reconfiguration and treatment delivery; and
• recovery, survivorship and palliative care.

These findings from our review of pancreatic cancer services will be available on FutureNHS in due course.
