GIRFT UEC webinar: Getting it right first time using urgent care co-ordination hubs

The GIRFT urgent and emergency care (UEC) team are hosting this webinar to discuss the principles for successful implementation of urgent care co-ordination hubs (also known as Single Point of Access (SPoA)) and to highlight some of the best practice taking place in hubs across England.

GIRFT associates, Dr Sarah Noble and Dr Vazeer Ahmed, will discuss what a good urgent care co-ordination hub looks like, and how they can enable services to ensure that the right patient is seen in the right place at the right time. We will share examples of urgent care co-ordination hubs and provide information on data and governance requirements to better understand next steps for exploring opportunities within local systems.

Dr Chris Moulton, GIRFT clinical lead for emergency services, and Linda Stannard, GIRFT National A-tED Lead, will demonstrate how the GIRFT Alternatives to ED (A-tED) testing process can be used to identify a trust or system’s alternative services and where the gaps are. The GIRFT A-tED tool was developed to support healthcare providers with managing their emergency department (ED) and admissions services.

The joining link will be sent by separate email nearer the event date.
