Have you ever heard chat about a digital tool and thought it might be useful to understand a bit more about what it is and how it works...?  Hosted by your Digital Transformation colleagues these free education sessions could offer valuable insights. Each session will have a focus on a specific digital tool that is being used in the region to support transformation of service delivery and will be a session explaining how it works, where it is being used and the benefits so far.

Our first session will be with Joy discussing "Prevention at Scale"

Join Joy and colleagues for an educational session on how systems across the East of England and London are using integrated digital tools to make prevention part of everyday clinical practice. Joy is a digital platform used by the NHS and other organizations to connect patients with non-medical, community-based services for social prescribing.

Joy is used across 34 ICBs, with full coverage in Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, Norfolk & Waveney, Suffolk & North East Essex, and North West London, and strong coverage across the remaining London ICBs.

Integrated with EMIS and SystmOne, enhances patient access to preventative services, with hyper-localised options that are targeted on patient population specific priorities. Preventative referrals increase by 2.1x while using Joy by saving time of front-line staff through AI transcription, smart-filling of referral forms, and smart proactive nudges in workflows.

By enabling a consistent front-door approach to non-clinical services, utilization and outcomes data supports strategic commissioning. Across all systems using Joy, GPs reduced repeat appointments by 39 per cent and A&E visits by 26 per cent after embedding Joy.

The session will explore how teams are using Joy to improve data flow between clinical and preventative services; support safe, consistent recording of preventative care; and provide live analytics to track outcomes and inequalities.

Please join us if you can!
