Introduction to Improvement Training - General Practice
NHS IMPACT Introduction to improvement
Whether you are an improvement expert, or new to improvement, this session will enable us all to use a shared common language and approach, when working together to make improvements in our working practices.
Improvement can involve saving time, saving money or being more efficient. It can also be about simplifying a task, making the experience of something more positive or improving productivity. With an improvement mindset approach, the right methods and tools, and working together with people using services based on what matters, we can improve the quality of care and health outcomes.
By identifying improvement opportunities, we can help tackle the problems we face in our everyday lives as healthcare staff.
This session will explain what we mean when we talk about improvement, touching upon some of the key concepts, ideas and thought processes that are behind an improvement approach and identify where you can find more information to progress your improvement knowledge further.
It will also introduce you to NHS IMPACT and it’s five core components to build improvement capability across the NHS, where continuous improvement is the 'go to' method for tackling clinical, operational and financial challenges.
Speakers:
- Jody O'Brien - Collaboration and Partnerships Lead, National Improvement Team (NHS IMPACT)
- Amy Hodgkinson - Head of Deployment, National Improvement Team (NHS IMPACT)
