National maternity operational pressures sitrep - data submission and dashboard webinar

By the end of the year, a new daily maternity operational pressures sitrep data collection will be put in place for all maternity and neonatal services.

Subject to a successful 4 week testing period, this will replace the existing fortnightly sitrep collection. It will also provide daily data to populate a dashboard that shows maternity services’ OPEL status to support a regionally developed Maternity Operational Pressures Escalation Level (OPEL) framework (draft only and subject to change). This is for the purpose of arranging mutual aid between maternity services. The dashboard will be accessible to all services, ICBs and regions.

In readiness for the roll-out of this data collection, we are hosting a support webinar for NHS staff. This webinar will train maternity and neonatal colleagues in the data submission process, accessing and navigating the dashboard and provide an opportunity to ask questions.
