NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme Reducing Inequalities Webinar 2
The NHS England Bowel Screening Programme and Equalities team are launching a series of webinars showcasing some of the work under way to reduce inequalities.
The webinar series will:
- Increase the understanding about the key drivers, challenges and enablers for inequalities within bowel cancer screening.
- Identify gaps in evidence or systems, and consider methods for addressing,
- Be an opportunity to network and share learning and real-life examples with colleagues from across the country.
- Highlight the available resources and support for working in this area.
- Gather insights to shape future work
During this session, we will explore:
- NHSE/CRUK: case studies of interventions and impact
- Volunteers from webinar 1: Feedback on bowel grid tool
Speakers will include:
- Rebecca MacLean – Consultant in Public Health, Senior Clinical Lead – Bowel Cancer Screening Programme.
- Walter Johnson - Walter Johnson, Equalities Lead, Equalities team.
This webinar is suitable for healthcare professionals, community partners, public health teams, and anyone involved in improving cancer prevention and early diagnosis.
In addition, members of your team who are involved in working with and engaging with Bowel Screening, as well as colleagues from ICB and regional Screening & Immunisations Teams (SITs) and Cancer Alliances.
