Enhanced Therapeutic Observations and Care (ETOC) lunch and learn: Workforce planning and deployment
Join the Nursing Directorate’s Workforce Team between 12:00pm - 12:45pm on Thursday 19 February for the ninth lunch and learn session in our enhanced therapeutic observations and care (ETOC) series.
This interactive session builds on our recent workforce planning and deployment webinar, which, introduced the improvement guide and shared examples of the impact of effective workforce planning and deployment models.
This session will provide an interactive opportunity to explore the core elements of workforce planning and development with a specific focus on ETOC.
The event will conclude with an open discussion, giving you the opportunity to share your insights, experiences, and questions with our expert panel.
About the Enhanced Therapeutic Observation and Care (ETOC) programme
Demand for Enhanced Therapeutic Observation and Care (ETOC), often referred to as enhanced care, 1:1’s or specialling, has increased due to our aging population and complexity of patient presentation. Nursing leaders report the need to identify innovative workforce models to ensure that patient safety and experience can be maintained in the most appropriate way.
NHS England's Nursing Directorate's Workforce Team, in collaboration with Safer Staffing colleagues, have launched a programme of work which aims to support systems to develop and improve their approach to how enhanced therapeutic observations and care is assessed and provided, with patient safety and experience at the centre.
