Cultural Competency in Practice – An Interactive Training Session

Cultural Competency in Practice – An Interactive Training Session
Families from different cultural backgrounds often experience services very differently. This training invites professionals to explore how culture, communication and systems intersect, and how this can affect diagnosis, engagement and outcomes.
Delivered by Autism Independence CIC, a community-led organisation with lived experience at its heart, the session offers a supportive space to reflect, learn and share practice. You will leave with greater confidence and practical tools to support autistic people and people with a learning disability from global majority backgrounds more effectively.
Suitable for NHS, education and social care staff at all levels in the South West only.
The training is free and will take place via Microsoft Teams.
There are two training dates available:
- 19th March 2026: 10am to 1pm
- 27th March 2026: 10am to 1pm
