Creating Supportive Environments in Ambulance Trusts: Using the Health and Wellbeing Framework

Ambulance services face distinct and sustained pressures, and it is essential that health and wellbeing support is designed in a way that is credible, targeted, accessible and responsive, to the realities of ambulance delivery.

This invitation-only session forms part of NHS England’s ongoing work to strengthen the conditions for health, wellbeing and culture across the ambulance sector. It will bring together ambulance leaders, HR and OD teams, wellbeing and FTSU leads, and sector representatives to reflect and explore the current use of the Health and Wellbeing Framework, understand what is driving impact for those organisations who are using it, discuss where further clarity is needed and what each trust can realistically take forward in the current climate.

This 2-hour session will support an honest, sector-led conversation about priorities for the ambulance workforce and the role of national frameworks and tools in enabling and supporting local leadership and sustainable improvement. Through structured discussion and breakout sessions, participants will explore local priorities, the barriers and enablers within their control, and where further national support may be required.

Learning from this session will directly inform national decisions on how future health and wellbeing support is targeted, aligned and sustained for the ambulance sector.

We look forward to working with you to ensure our collective approach is grounded in your lived experience and focused on what will make the greatest difference for ambulance colleagues.
