Carers Week 2026- Data in GP Practices Session
We are delighted to invite you to Carers Week 2026.
This year Carers Week will take place between 8th – 14th June 2026 and the theme this year is: “Building Carer Friendly Communities”
We are delighted to be joined by fabulous guest speakers throughout the week, so please join us as we shine a light on the fantastic work happening across our providers, systems and regions.
Please join Lizzie Eden and Sarah Sims from Dorset NHSFT as they share their SystmOne General Practice Unpaid Carer template project. They will explore how the template supports practices to improve the identification and support of unpaid carers in Dorset GP practices.
The session will:
- Introduce the SystmOne Unpaid Carer Template and its purpose
- Walk through how the template works in practice.
- Share practical tips for embedding it into routine GP workflows
- Highlight how the template supports the Carers Quality Markers, PCN priorities and population health approaches
- Explore how improved recording can strengthen signposting, referrals and local carer partnerships
This session will be chaired by Paul Spencer, Primary and Community Development Lead, NHS England – South West.
