GIRFT general surgery: Reflections, progress and what comes next

Mark Cheetham, GIRFT clinical lead for general surgery, is hosting this webinar to reflect on what his 2026 follow-up report shows, discuss the progress since the original 2017 national report was published and to set out what comes next.

We are delighted to be joined by Christian Macutkiewicz, president of the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI), one of the five organisations which endorsed the report.

We will also be joined by the following speakers, who will showcase best practice examples from their trust:
