Elective Care Learning and Improvement Network East of England

14 October 2026 9:30am – 4:30pmBST (+01:00)
Cambridge Belfry Hotel, Cambridge Belfry Hotel, Back Lane, Cambourne, Cambridge, East of England, CB23 6BW, United Kingdom

The East of England Elective Care Learning & Improvement Network brings together clinical, operational and improvement teams from across the region to accelerate practical improvements in elective access and patient flow.

This in-person workshop will build on the work already undertaken through the network across three established improvement priorities:

  • Clinic utilisation and template optimisation

  • Referral optimisation through Advice and Guidance

  • Waiting list validation at scale

Since our previous workshop, trusts have been taking forward local improvement actions and PDSA tests, alongside projects supported through LIN seed funding.

The October session provides an opportunity to bring that learning back into the network, understand what is working, explore where approaches can be adapted or spread and agree the next practical actions.

What to expect

This is a working session rather than a conference. Teams will:

  • share progress and learning from changes tested locally

  • learn from approaches being implemented elsewhere in the region

  • explore common barriers and opportunities

  • use peer discussion and data to inform the next improvement cycle

  • leave with practical actions to take forward locally

Who should attend

We ask each provider to register at least three representatives, bringing the right blend of clinical leadership, operational authority and detailed pathway knowledge.

This should ideally include:

  • An operational lead, such as a GM, Head of Service or Elective Access lead

  • A clinical lead, such as a Clinical Director or pathway lead

  • An RTT, validation, booking or outpatient lead who can translate decisions into day-to-day practice

Improvement, transformation and analytical colleagues involved in these pathways are also welcome.

Places are limited, so please register as soon as possible.
