This free training for GPs, Practice Nurses and Practice Managers is available following a successful joint funding bid to NHS England by the Safeguarding Adults’ Teams of Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and Norfolk CCGs.

Target delegates: GP’s, Practice Nurses, allied qualified health staff and Practice Managers

Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and Norfolk Safeguarding Adult Teams have successfully applied for funding from NHS England to support training for GPs and health care professionals.

We will be running half-day workshops across the three counties in January, February and March 2018.

This will have particular reference to the use of The Mental Capacity Act and DOLs, domestic abuse and consent. We will also share learning from Safeguarding Adult Cases.  The workshop has been designed to meet your learning needs by supporting General Practice in maintaining CQC registration and compliance with KLOES.

  • Providing an opportunity for skills development for Safeguarding Adult Leads, and other Primary Care health professionals (e.g. GPs, Practice Nurses, Paramedics based in a surgery)
  • Offering Practice Managers insight into issues and topics potentially affecting your practice population

Attendance and engagement will also contribute to meeting your personal CPD and any professional registration requirements

The events will have particular reference to the use of The Mental Capacity Act and consent, DoLs, Domestic Abuse and consent for appropriate support/engagement.

Please note: These conferences are being laid on free of charge; however food and beverages are not included.  Arrangements have been put in place for you to be able to purchase hot drinks at the venue on arrival and during the comfort break.
