Behind the scenes - driving improvements in WaRe antibiotic use in hospitals
Come join us to hear insights from some of the acute hospital Trusts who have shared their experience and approaches to reducing their Watch and Reserve antibiotic consumption from 2019 to 2024. The new UK National Action 2024-29 includes an ambition for at least 70% of total antibiotic use to be from the Access category i.e. 30% or less from Watch and Reserve categories, by 2029. The Antimicrobial Prescribing and Medicines Optimisation (APMO) workstream at NHS England has been learning from Trusts across all seven NHS England regions to develop a resource of practical AMS strategies and examples of successful implementation approaches. This webinar will provide a sneak preview of what we have learned, along with experiences of colleagues working on the front line.
