Best Practice in Medical Job Planning Improvement - Non Cancer MDT meetings

26 November 2025 12:00pm – 1:00pmGMT (+00:00)
Virtual (Microsoft Teams)

As part of NHS England’s work to support consultants and SAS doctors and improve service delivery, we are running a webinar series on Medical Job Planning best practice and learning. Topics covered so far include high impact actions for medical job planning improvement, culture change and service level job planning. Each webinar lasts 45 minutes to an hour around lunch time, and we welcome all NHS staff involved in medical job planning to attend.

Our seventh webinar will take place on 26 November from 12-1pm and will cover the topic of non-cancer multidisciplinary teams meetings (MDT)s, a topic that the national team are publishing guidance on in October. This webinar is designed to support more effective, consistent and efficient use of MDT meetings across non-cancer services.

The webinar will cover:

  • What MDTs are and why they matter
  • Current challenges – Including inconsistent use of non-cancer MDTs, rapid growth in their establishment, and the increasing demand on clinical time
  • Principles to adopt when planning and managing non-cancer MDT meetings
  • Guidance on job planning attendance at MDT meetings
  • This session will be particularly relevant for clinicians, service managers, and clinical leaders involved in job planning and setting up or running non-cancer MDT meetings.

Please register using the link below and forward to any colleagues you think will benefit from attending. We hope to see you there!
