Better Care Fund Overview

24 April 2024 2:00pm – 3:00pmBST (+01:00)
Location TBC

The Better Care Fund (BCF) is a national programme that supports local systems to successfully deliver the integration of health and social care in a way that supports person-centred care, sustainability and better outcomes for people and carers. Launched in 2015, the programme established pooled budgets between the NHS and local authorities, aiming to reduce the barriers often created by separate funding streams. The pooled budget is a combination from various NHS and Council funding sources.

Andre Lotz, regional lead for the BCF, will provide a brief overview of the BCF, though focus it through a community rehab lens. The purpose is to help London AHPs better understand this commissioning programme and give you more opportunity to link up with your local commissioning colleagues, where this is relevant for you.

We aim to invite a local team to describe their approach, to help demonstrate the value there is, in building these connections and we will be sure to leave time to take any questions
