Cancer Covid-19 recovery: Using the core model to achieve the Faster Diagnosis Standard target

17 November 2020 10:00am – 11:00am
Webinar, UK, SE1 6LH, United Kingdom

Are you thinking about applying demand and capacity modelling when planning cancer services for your patients? Are you wondering where to start?

The Demand and Capacity Programme will be hosting a series of four webinars over November and December to support staff in cancer services to apply demand and capacity modelling in the Covid-19 recovery phase. Colleagues undertaking recovering planning for cancer services may have questions around how we model capacity and plan to ensure the safety of our patients accessing these services in the coming weeks, month and years.

The second in this series of webinars will be hosted by the national Demand and Capacity Team, who will share how to use the Demand and Capacity core model to help meet the Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS) target for cancer services. The session will also cover how the tool can be used to account for new ways of working. This webinar will not be covering how to use the Demand & Capacity models in detail as the presumption is that you are already familiar with the models. If you aren’t then please familiarise yourself with the core model first: https://www.england.nhs.uk/ourwork/demand-and-capacity/models/demand-and-capacity-core-model/. The latest version of the core model which has been adapted for the recovery phases can be downloaded directly here and accompanying guidance can be found on our Future NHS group.

Please register with your NHS email address to secure your place on the webinar. Joining details of the webinar will be emailed to you on the day before the session.

This webinar will also be repeated on the 20 November at 11am. To register please follow:
