Location TBC

We are delighted to invite you to Carers Week 2026.

This year Carers Week will take place between 8th – 14th June 2026 and the theme this year is: “Building Carer Friendly Communities”

We are delighted to be joined by fabulous guest speakers throughout the week, so please join us as we shine a light on the fantastic work happening across our providers, systems and regions.

Please join Katriona Hartnett and Sean Ahern from Adass, Camden Council as they share their Family and Group Conferencing (FGC) project, an approach in adult social care and mental health services that is person-centred approach, empowering individuals and their networks to create plans for managing care, safeguarding, and complex life challenges.

The session will:

  • Introduce Family and Group Conferencing and its role in adult care planning
  • Share how Camden has implemented FGC in practice
  • Explore how FGC supports shared decision‑making, choice and control
  • Highlight the role of unpaid carers, families and wider networks in care planning
  • Discuss learning, challenges and enablers from delivering FGC locally
  • Consider how FGC can support prevention, community‑based care and neighbourhood approaches

This session will be chaired by Ros Spinks, Senior Quality and Patient Safety Manager at NHS England, London Region.

Please feel free to share this invitation within your networks. The agenda and joining link will be circulated in due course.

Registration opens on Friday 1st May at 9:00am and closes on Monday 8th June at 5:00pm.

All the sessions will be recorded and added to our Commitment to Carers workspace on FutureNHS Collaboration Platform.
