The 12th Chief Nursing Officer's Black & Minority Ethnic Advisory Group Annual Conference will be held on Friday 16 October 10.00 – 4pm
The title for this year’s Chief Nursing Officer’s Black and Minority Ethnic Advisory Group Conference is ‘The BME Nurse and Midwifery response to COVID-19’.
This year’s conference coincides with Black History Month, we want to acknowledge the brilliance of all our health care colleagues but with special thanks to all Nurses, Midwives, Health Care Support Workers, Trainee Nurse Associates who work across the NHS, Health & Social Care, Academia, Nursing students and other health care settings especially those at the frontline.
We are still in the throes of the pandemic and need to continue to speak up, advocate and protect staff and raise our voices loud and clear against injustice.
We remember those who have lost their lives during the pandemic and those that continue to serve and we honour them
The themes covered during the conference will centre around the response to the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on the BME workforce e.g. Mental Health, student nurse experience, International Nursing, People’s Plan.
