Community of Change - Commissioning Cycle
The aim of the Community of change sessions is to enable and support systems to further enhance their ICB 3 year plans as they transition from development to implementation in the drive to localise and realign inpatient provision. This is in line with the principles contained with the Commissioning framework for mental health inpatient services. The Quality Transformation Programme(QTP) focus is to support cultural change and a new bold, radical, reimagined model of care for the future across all NHS-funded mental health, learning disability and autistic inpatient settings.
The focus of the sessions is to explore the commissioning cycle (analyse, plan, do, study, act) through:
- Promoting good practice
- Learn and share opportunities
- Networking
- Challenging assumptions
Our next session taking place on 30th September at 10am is focused on ‘plan’ within the Commissioning Cycle.
In this session we will explore:
- What is included in the plan section
- What are the things we need to know and/or do as commissioners
- Some tools that might help
- Useful links and resources
We will also hear from some guest speakers around how they were able to plan effectively for the re-commissioning of a service.
Prior to the session and if you have the opportunity, please read the link to the Tower Hamlets Library project Idea Stores: service integration with libraries and learning - Case study - GOV.UK, as we will be discussing this project during the session.
Please share widely with colleagues across health and social care.
