Continuous Improvement (CI) Foundation Course (1 day)

These regular sessions are for NHS England London staff only 

The course aims to help participants improve personal resilience to change and the transition process and to support colleagues.

It will build on your understanding of the CI approach starting with your personal improvement and development.

Please note that this course runs in parallel to our Midday Learning programme on QI tools.

  • Recognise how CI applies to self-improvement and bringing incremental improvements into your daily role within the NHS
  • Understand the mindset and core concepts of CI and recognise how they apply to self-improvement and your role within the NHS
  • Identify key leadership and collaborative behaviours that foster a culture of CI, including generative listening and empathy
  • Set personal self-improvement initiatives to foster a CI mindset

Background

The NHSE London CI programme has developed this course for all staff in NHSE London, with support from NHS Aqua.

The course is a prerequisite when applying to the CI Practitioner Course which will be available from June 2025
