The South East region will be holding an Urgent and Emergency care workshop ‘Delivering resilient services for the winter’ scheduled for Thursday, 6th September2018 in Central London (The Royal Society).

The focus of the workshop is to showcase practical cases/examples to help you to increase your overall resilience and to implement key national recommendations to manage seasonal demand.

We have constructed our agenda to cover key milestones across the emergency care pathway, from pre-hospital to onward care. A system approach to manage demand and deliver length of stay reduction ambitions.

You will hear from colleagues from across the region, facing similar challenges to yours, who have been able to make sustained changes to their processes and systems in their own trusts.

We have secured national key note speakers that will provide a practical overview of how to set up services that will support emergency demand.

The NHSI Policy Team will share the findings of their South East Deep Dive, and their insights regarding why some trusts are more resilient than others in dealing with spikes in demand and the key attributes.

During the day, sessions have been planned to support teamwork across the whole health and care leadership system.
