The Demand and Capacity Programme are hosting a series of webinars over the summer to share good practice on demand and capacity planning for the Covid-19 pandemic looking at the recovery phase and beyond.

There are a lot of challenges facing providers as they re-open elective services, and a lot of questions around how we model capacity and plan to ensure the safety of our patients accessing these services in the coming weeks, month and years.

The ninth in this series of webinars will be hosted by Paula Ogutu, Performance Manager at Mid and South Essex University Hospitals Group, who will share her experience of implementing a critical review and assurance framework as part of a demand and capacity programme. This framework was used to guide the programme, and provide a structured way to check the outputs of the modelling in a transparent way.

Paula will share what has worked well, how she overcame challenges, and why this approach is increasingly pertinent during the Covid-19 recovery phase. Paula will be supported by Ricky McCullough, Improvement Manager from the Elective Care Intensive Support Team at NHS England and Improvement.

Please register with your NHS email address to secure your place on the webinar. Details of the webinar will be emailed the day before the session.
