We are delighted to announce the upcoming Diabetes Clinical Network Spring Event and invite you to register and save the date.

Our network events bring together healthcare professionals and stakeholders from across Greater Manchester to share the latest updates, discuss service improvements and develop solutions to our shared challenges.

It will provide an excellent opportunity to connect with colleagues, stay informed about the latest developments and help shape priorities for diabetes care in our region.

If you are involved in diabetes care or service delivery – for instance as a clinician, healthcare professional, service manager, commissioner or programme lead – your participation and contribution will help us shape the future of diabetes care in Greater Manchester.

Topics Overview

The event will cover a number of service areas, including:

  • NICE NG28 Update: An overview of the latest updates to the NICE NG28 guidance, focusing on implications for prescribing, care pathways and service delivery. The session will also consider how changes can be implemented consistently and equitably across the system.
  • Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolic (CVRM) Update: An update on current CVRM care pathways and the pathfinder programme including progress to date, system integration and plans for future development to improve outcomes for people living with diabetes.
  • Maternity and Diabetes: A session exploring diabetes care across the pregnancy pathway. The session will consider opportunities to strengthen links between preconception, antenatal and postnatal services including postnatal weight management support.
