Digitally Transforming Dentistry Conference 2019
The 2019 conference theme will be will Mapping a Digital Dental Patient Journey.
Exploring from how a patient find a dental practice, to how patients interact with urgent dental services, to how we can make the referral process in to primary and secondary care more efficient, safe and stream lined for both patients and clinical teams alike.
As more services are undergoing digital transformation, we will explore where we are now, where we want to go and what it should look like.
The conference aims to discuss how to incorporate digital in to commissioning to align with the NHS technology agenda, what services provider digital development is needed, as well as the digital tools the profession requires for patient safety and cyber security.
The day will include :
- A Commissioners perspective on their digital dental journey
- Secondary providers needs for digital interoperability to share data safely.
- Interactive design workshops on designing a digital service such as in Urgent Dental Care, referral services and Prescribing and exemptions.
The day will include an NHS innovation session, where emerging NHS technologies which dental can utilise to connect to health care services will be demo'd as well as a keynote debate on cybersecurity and social media.

Tashfeen Kholasi - Clinical lead for digital dentistry, presenting on Direct Bookings in to urgent dental care
Govin Murugachandran - Flynotes
as well presentations from NHS Digital and NHS BSA .
The conference is relevant to the dental profession, dental and healthcare software suppliers, commissioning teams, urgent care teams, allied healthcare professions and patients.
For clinical teams there will be 5hours of CPD included.
