Please join our third Digi-bites session of 2026 to find out more about the Cloud Hosting.  Hosted by your Digital Transformation colleagues these free education sessions could offer valuable insights. Each session will have a focus on a specific digital tool or initiative that is being used in the region to support transformation of service delivery and will be a session explaining how it works, where it is being used and the benefits so far. 

 

For this session we have invited Neil Gibbs, Head of Cloud Centre of Excellence – NHSE Transformation Directorate to explain what cloud hosting is, along with examples of how NHSE use provider such as Amazon, Microsoft and Crown Hosting. Including how the Cloud Centre of Excellence can help organisations adopt cloud hosting.  Neil will be joined by Robert Horne from Crown Hosting for an in-depth look at how cloud hosting works with Crown Hosting Data Centres

Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) - The Cloud and Hosting Centre of Excellence (C&HCoE) exists to define, promote, and uphold national standards for secure, resilient, and high quality cloud and hosting infrastructure and provision across the NHS

Crown Hosting Data Centres Limited - is a unique joint venture between the Cabinet Office and Ark Data Centres dedicated to serving the Public Sector. Crown Hosting was established to aid digital transformation and cloud adoption to save the public section money, decrease the public sector Co2 footprint and provide data centre solutions that enhance operation availability, reliability and security.
