Virtual (Microsoft Teams)
Inform and Innovate webinar, 31 May

The delivery plan for tackling the COVID-19 backlog of elective care sets out how the NHS will recover elective services in the months and years to come. To support systems and providers with delivering the ambitions set out in the plan, we are continuing our webinar series to provide the latest updates on priorities, and sharing examples of best practice and learnings from across the NHS.

This session will focus on the use of data-led digital solutions for waiting list management.

Jim Mackey, National Director for Elective Recovery and Rob Stones, Interim National Programme Director for Elective Recovery, will provide an update on our progress and priorities. You will also hear from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, who have implemented a theatre scheduling tool that allows for more patients to be added to theatre lists in slots that would otherwise have been left empty – optimising theatre productivity and reducing waiting list backlog. Also joining us is Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust, who have implemented a range of operational decision-making tools to support every step of the patient pathway from referral through to treatment.

Please register above by 12.00 noon on Friday 26 May 2023. Once registration has closed, we will send an email to all registered attendees which will include a link to join the webinar. The joining link will be from our elective recovery PMO email address (ELECTIVERECOVERYPMO - england.electiverecoverypmo@nhs.net), so please do keep an eye out for it.

This webinar is for those who are working in or with elective services. Please register with an NHS or professional email address.
