Embedding Healthy Speaking Up Cultures: Organisations Listening, Learning and Leading for Safer Care

Join us for an engaging and practical learning event hosted by the NHSE Culture Transformation Team, where we’ll explore how NHS organisations can build psychologically safe cultures that support and encourage colleagues to speak up.

This session will place the lived experiences of colleagues who raise concerns at the heart of the conversation—highlighting why creating environments where people feel safe, heard, and supported are vital to compassionate, inclusive, and high-performing cultures.

We’ll also look at how Freedom to Speak Up (FTSU) concerns can be used not only to surface risks but also as powerful levers for learning and continuous improvement. Through the lens of the Culture and Leadership Programme (CLP), we’ll explore practical ways leaders, managers, HR teams and FTSU Guardians can shape safe, open cultures—where psychological safety, learning, and trust are embedded into everyday practice.

You’ll hear from national experts and local voices who are driving real culture change across the NHS. From compassionate leadership and overcoming barriers to practical case studies and lessons learned—this session is packed with insight, inspiration, and tools you can use right away.

Places are limited – please book early to avoid disappointment.
