Embracing Communities: Collaborating for Better Maternity Care- Autism in Pregnancy
The London Regional Maternity Team in collaboration with experts by experience, has co-produced four educational short films. These short films, based on real-life experiences, highlight the importance of cultural competency and inclusive maternity care and serve as a valuable resource to support maternity healthcare professionals across London, helping them to build confidence to compassionately engage with, listen to and act on the diverse needs of all service users accessing maternity care.
Please note: This is session is for NHS Healthcare professionals only.
This session will provide an opportunity to watch the Autism in Pregnancy film, meet and talk to the people involved in the creation of the film and discuss how these films can be embedded into NHS maternity services.
The other films being launched during February and March are:
▪ South Asian Maternal Health – 05.02.2025
▪ Gypsy Traveller Maternal Health – 26.02.2025
▪ Understanding the Black Maternal Experience – 19.03.2025
