Enhanced Therapeutic Observation and Care (ETOC) webinar: education and training

Join the Nursing Directorate Workforce Team from 1pm to 2pm on Tuesday 18 August 2026 for our Enhanced Therapeutic Observation and Care (ETOC) webinar focusing on education and training.

The session will explore how NHS organisations can design and deliver effective, flexible, and sustainable ETOC training programmes that build staff knowledge, confidence, and capability, supporting improvements in patient safety, quality of care, and therapeutic outcomes.

Chaired by Chris Morley, Chief Nurse at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the webinar will feature colleagues from NHS trusts sharing their experiences, challenges and successes in developing ETOC education and training within their organisations.

We recognise that organisations are at different stages of their ETOC journey and that the approaches shared may not be directly transferable to every setting. However, we hope the session will provide practical insights, showcase innovative approaches, and encourage new ways of thinking about ETOC workforce development.

This event will be useful for anyone within your organisation responsible for the provision and monitoring of ETOC, including, but not limited to, ETOC teams, nursing workforce leads, staffing leads and clinical education teams.
