East of England Diabetes Network are pleased to announce the East of England Conference on the
9th October 2019 at Bedford Lodge Hotel, Bury Road, Newmarket, Suffolk, CB8 7BX.
Our keynote speaker for the day is Dr Jonathan Valabhji, National Clinical Director for Diabetes and Obesity, NHS England and NHS Improvement.
Purpose of the event
This event will focus on the work in the East of England within both primary and secondary care that is delivering improvements for people with diabetes. We will share how diabetes care within general practice is developing and growing and the challenges that presents.
Who should attend
This conference is aimed at Diabetes Commissioners, Diabetologists, Diabetes Specialist Nurses, Primary Care Leads for diabetes, Practice Nurses, GP Trainees, AHPs working in diabetes and all supporting organisations, including Public Health, AHSN, Diabetes Charities, NHS Improvement, Diabetes Patient Representatives, Healthwatch Organisations.
Poster / Abstract submissions are invited in the areas of:
- Clinical case presentations
- Innovative practice
Your application can be submitted as:
- A poster - send as pdf
- An abstract (maximum of 250 words)
All submissions should include names of authors (presenting author underlined), institution where work was undertaken and a contact email.
Please submit all abstracts to: email@example.com and please include “Poster / Abstract Competition EoE CN Diabetes Conference 2019” in the subject box.
Abstracts from all healthcare disciplines are invited. Awards will be given for the three best posters / abstracts.
Please bring a copy of your poster / abstract to the conference with you as there will be facilities for displaying these at the Conference. They will be judged on the day and prizes awarded to the best three.
You are invited to bring your poster along to the conference and set up a display (no larger than A2 please).
