Ethnicity Recording Improvement Plan - Launch Webinar

Please join us for a webinar to support the implementation of the Ethnicity Recording Improvement Plan which launched on 29 October 2025.

The Ethnicity Recording Improvement Plan sets our clear, practical actions to strengthen the completeness, consistency, and quality of ethnicity data across NHS systems. High-quality ethnicity data is essential to ensure equitable access, experiences, and outcomes for all patients, and to reduce health inequalities across ethnic groups. 

 The plan provides a framework for Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), providers, and partners to identify gaps, improve recording processes, and use data more effectively to tackle inequalities. 

The aims of the webinar are to:

• set out the ambitions of the Plan and our expectations of ICBs and providers
• share practical examples of improving ethnicity recording
• support organisations to reflect on how they can improve ethnicity recording.
