Task and Finish Groups formation 

• Standards of Care in Diabetic Footcare (establishing a gold, silver and bronze set of standards for the region) 

• Identifying Concerns (foot checks and reviews, primary and secondary care, patient and clinician education) 

• Workforce (MDT make up, shortages, skill mixing) 

Break into tables and discuss each area with a facilitator, sign up for T&F group if interested in this area 

Standards of Care: 

• Review NEY model and discuss: 

• How do we develop something similar for our region? 

• How do we ask ICBs and trusts to deliver to it? 

Identifying Concerns: 

• Where are the opportunities to improve our ability to identify concerns in foot health for diabetic patients in a timely manner and treat/escalate them appropriately? 

• Do you have any examples of best practice, any work you’ve done or are aware of to improve the pathway, patient education, clinician education? 

Workforce 

• Where are our shortages geographically and in which services (primary, community, acute)? 

• When should we be using an MDT? What does the ideal MDT look like in these settings?
