Background

The National Health Service (Procurement, Slavery and Human Trafficking) Regulations 2025 have been signed into law and will come into force on 17th May 2026. They require in-scope organisations to risk assess procurements for goods and service for the NHS and take reasonable steps to address and where possible eliminate risk. The updated Tackling modern slavery in NHS procurement guidance was published following the public consultation, and sets out how in scope organisations can comply with these regulations.
