GIRFT community MSK webinar: supporting patients with chronic pain
GIRFT's clinical leads for cMSK and chronic pain services are hosting a webinar to discuss how community MSK services can best support patients with chronic pain.
Hosted by Lesley Kay, GIRFT joint clinical lead for rheumatology, alongside Helen Makins, GIRFT chronic pain clinical lead and Andrew Bennett, GIRFT cMSK clinical lead, we will hear more about successful community based chronic pain services and share examples of best practice “left shift” models of delivery.
We will hear from:
- Dr John Ford, senior clinical lecturer in health equity at Queen Mary University of London, who will share a recommendations from a recently published pager on integrated primary and community support for people living with chronic pain, musculoskeletal problems and mental health conditions.
- Dr Doria Bouzebra, GP at The Roxton Practice, Grimsby, who will present her experience of delivering chronic pain services in primary care settings.
- Dr Marta Fernandez, consultant in pain medicine, clinical lead and head of service at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, who will share the pain consultant perspective on community pain services.
