GIRFT provider webinar: Best practice for glaucoma services

Lydia Chang, Liz Wilkinson and Jon Bhargava, GIRFT joint clinical leads for ophthalmology, are hosting a webinar to discuss the implementation of GIRFT’s new Best Practice for Glaucoma Services guidance in acute trusts.

This GIRFT guidance offers a practical framework for delivering consistent, patient-centred glaucoma care which prioritises early detection, accurate referrals and lifelong continuity of care.  

In this webinar, Lydia Chang will present on the implementation of the pathway for providers and we will hear from consultant opthalmologists from the West of England Eye Unit at the Royal Devon Hospital who have successfully implemented DAVRAP. 

We will be also joined by a panel of speakers to discuss the three key areas that can help co-ordinate care and reduce delays in follow-up appointments and discuss how the guidance can support clinicians and organisations to work collaboratively across professional boundaries for the benefit of all patients.
