GIRFT webinar: Best practice in early screening of patients on elective surgical pathways
This national webinar is focused on early screening as part of the perioperative pathway to support patients on elective surgical pathways.
We’ll be highlighting some of the best practice for early screening across adult and children and CYP (children and young people) pathways which has been implemented by NHS providers, as well as discussing how we can support return to RTT (referral to treatment).
This webinar will be hosted by Professor Ramani Moonesinghe, national clinical director of perioperative care; GIRFT’s joint clinical leads for anaesthesia and perioperative medicine, Dr Chris Snowden and Dr Mike Swart; and Emma McCone, GIRFT national lead for pre-operative assessment. We will also be joined by:
- Dr Nathalie Stevenson, consultant anaesthetist at Royal Free London NHS FT and clinical lead for the Preoperative Transformation Programme in London who will introduce two QI projects from the London region showcasing early screening and implementation; and
- Dr Amy Norrington, paediatric consultant anaesthetist at South Tees NHS FT and clinical perioperative lead for CYP in North East and Yorkshire, who will discuss early screening across CYP pathways.
The joining link will be sent to you by separate email nearer the event date.
