First Contact Physiotherapy (FCP) national evaluation themes and initial findings

GIRFT recently surveyed GP practice managers and Primary Care Network (PCN) leads with responsibility for managing musculoskeletal FCP services in order to build a clearer understanding of how services are currently being delivered across primary care in England and to identify opportunities for improvement.

Andrew Bennett, GIRFT national clinical lead for community MSK, is hosting this webinar to discuss the findings of this evaluation.

In this webinar, Andy Saunders,GIRFT community MSK clinical advisor for First Contact Practice, will present the initial findings from the national FCP evaluation and the next steps being taken with this work.

We will hear from Natalie Heighway, FCP ambassador and advanced practice physiotherapist, who will discuss the work she has undertaken to improve integration and collaboration between FCP and cMSK services.

We will also be joined by Julie Blackburn and Jon Ryan from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), who will update us on their work promoting the role and supporting FCPs in the workplace.
