GIRFT webinar: Introducing the GIRFT chronic pain workstream
Introducing the GIRFT chronic pain workstream
Dr Helen Makins, GIRFT chronic pain clinical lead, and Dr Jacqui Clinch and Dr Graham Syers, chronic pain clinical advisors, will be introducing the GIRFT chronic pain workstream.
GIRFT’s new workstream aims to identify variation and challenges across the whole pathway and develop a structured model to ensure patients receive personalised, holistic and evidence-based care at each stage, with seamless transitions between services – in turn, improving the patient experience.
In this webinar the GIRFT clinical leadership team will introduce the scope of the workstream and its objectives and update you of the process for the planned system level peer reviews, looking at the provision and delivery of pain management services across community, primary, secondary and tertiary care.
We will also hear the findings of the North East and North Cumbria (NENC) Citizens’ Jury on Persistent Pain, a good example of how patient and public involvement will play a part in this workstream.
The joining link will be sent to you by separate email nearer the event date.
