Maximising ambulance referrals into virtual wards via SPOA (single point of access)  

In this webinar, Dr Shelagh O’Riordan, GIRFT joint clinical lead for virtual wards will discuss how we can maximise ambulance referrals into virtual wards via single point of access (SPOA).

In conversation with ambulance and A & E colleagues, Dr Shelagh O’Riordan will describe and promote understanding of the key enablers to working with virtual wards/hospital at home.   She will discuss the effects and outcomes of SPOA and share some best practice examples of maximising ambulance referrals into virtual wards via SPOA.

The national delivery plan for recovering urgent and emergency care services encourages integrated care boards (ICBs) and providers to consider using PoCT for both virtual wards and urgent community response (UCR) services.
