GIRFT webinar: the effective management of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)

Professor Gerry Rayman (GIRFT joint clinical lead for diabetes) is hosting this webinar to hear about new innovations and tools which can help achieve sustained improvements in DKA management.

Metrics relating to the hospital care of patients in hypoglycaemia and DKA are soon to be released on Model Health System (MHS) and will be available in an updated diabetes compartment. This webinar will include a pre-view demonstration of the data fromAnthony James, GIRFT data analytics lead.

We will also be joined by Dr Punith Kempegowda who, with his team in the West Midlands, has developed an automated auditing system for digital evaluation of ketosis and other diabetes emergencies (DEKODE). He will be presenting an overview of DEKODE programme, and Nevil Philip, junior doctor will discuss the benefits of utilising DEKODE.

The joining link will be sent by separate email nearer the event date.
