Greater Manchester Children and Young People’s End of Life and Palliative Care Summit

Introduction

Following the closure of a palliative care facility for children we would like to bring together all relevant parties to this Summit to consider the impact for Greater Manchester.

Our aim is to

• Provide an overview of palliative and end of life care for children and young people in Greater Manchester.
• Describe what good palliative and end of life care looks like for children and young people in Greater Manchester.
• Explore whether the Greater Manchester adult end of life and palliative care framework/ strategy addresses the needs of children and young people.
• Identify the opportunities and challenges we face as a system in improving palliative and end of life care for children and young people in Greater Manchester.
