HCSW Programme 22/23: Recognition of HCSW's

Dear Colleagues,

Are you involved in the recruitment and retention of healthcare support workers, including those with no prior health and care experience or the delivery of the NHS England Healthcare Support Worker Programme (HCSW) at your trust?

NHS England’s Nursing Directorate is hosting a webinar, as part of the Healthcare Support Worker Programme on how Trusts have recognised their Maternity Support Worker (MSW) workforce, ahead of Nursing Support Workers’ Day on 23rd November 2022. We would love you to join us on the Thursday 6th October between 12pm and 1pm to hear more about how recognition and care has been shown for our colleagues.
Questions can be asked throughout the event using the live Q&A function. The slides, a recording and a summary document will be shared after the event which will outline the resources available and where to find them.

This event will be chaired by Carolyn Fox, Strategic Nurse Advisor, NHS England.

This event is aimed at anyone within your organisation involved in the education of HCSWs or MSW’s alongside those responsible for the recruitment, management, development, and retention of HCSWs or MSWs. This includes, but is not limited to, nursing workforce leads, ward managers, matrons, education teams, providers of pastoral support, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion leads, and anyone involved in supporting HCSW and MSW onboarding and induction including delivery of the care certificate.

If you would like to attend this event, we ask that you please register here by 5pm on Wednesday 5th October 2022. Once registration has closed, we will then send an outlook invitation to the event to all registered attendees.

If you have any queries about this event, please contact the Workforce Team at england.nursingworkforce@nhs.net

Many thanks,

HCSW Programme Team
