High Intensity Users: celebrating success and supporting spread
The NHS RightCare High Intensity User programme (HIU) helps health and social care systems identify and support some of the most vulnerable people in our society to flourish by providing them with community-based, 1:1 coaching and mentoring to empower them to self-manage.
Over the last 21 months, 41 health systems have introduced a HIU service. Results to date have shown a reduction in reducing A&E attendances and non-elective admissions for this cohort of people of up to 87% in A&E attendances, 93% in 999 calls and 87% in non-elective admissions being achieved.
This event aims to equip health systems with the knowledge and resources to support implementation of the HIU service. Delegates will:
- Learn the impact and scale of opportunity offered by this programme
- Gain insight into the person journey and what they experienced before and after the HIU intervention
- Hear from HIU leads in commissioning and provider organisations, mentors and people who have benefitted from the HIU journey to understand the context of this work.
- Benefit from interactive workshops on how to implement the service within their own area.
Please be aware that this event is for Commissioners, Providers and System level organisations only. In the event of oversubscription, we ask that attendance is limited to 2 delegates per organisation.
