IMTS2 Simulation Training - MERSEY AND NW TRAINEES ONLY

On Behalf of Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, welcome to Whiston Hospital Education and Training Centre, for your Higher Speciality Training Simulation session. The session will last approximately 3hours.  The session will be provided by a multi-professional specialist simulation team including:

Mark Rowson, Head of Simulation Training at Whiston Hospital

Ronan McGinn, Simulation Tutor

Leigh Abbott, Simulation Technician   

As part of your training the simulation session will be using a High Fidelity Laerdal SimMan 3G plus mannequin within a simulation suite. The simulation team will be utilising audio/video streaming and recording as part of the simulation training to facilitate any debriefing. Recording will auto delete after 2 weeks and will not be shared outside of your session.

The simulation and debriefing will provide opportunity to practice and discuss appropriate technical and non-technical skills relevant to the simulation.

Parking is available on the multistorey car park opposite the hospital, just off Warrington road. Bring your car parking ticket with you and hand it in a reception in the education centre to be validated on arrival. Nightingale House is separate to the main hospital, come up the ramp on your left as you face Nightingale House.
